        Burlesque Dance - All levels - Drop-in Class                                                £10 members / £15 non-members - Danceworks, West End.

• This is a drop-in class. No pre-booking! Just turn up and pay on  the night.
• Every Monday from 8pm - 9pm - Arrive early as places are limited!
• In these classes you will learn a variety of traditional and neo-burlesque dance moves with the emphasis on sexy, showgirl glamour.  More tease than Dita!
• You will be taught fun and flirtatious choreography by our sensational Burlesque Dance teachers who are also professional burlesque performers.

• INTRODUCING...from 4^th January until 8^th February you will be taught by our creative and talented new teacher, Leela Bunce aka Audacity Chutzpah.

• Returning on February 15^th for 3 weeks will be the ever-popular and fabulous Torie Dieppe aka Lil' Miss Chievous (who has been teaching for LAOB for over a year).

• We recommend that you try to attend both teachers’ classes as their different dance styles and musical interpretations will definitely broaden your burlesque repertoire. You will benefit from their specific performance techniques as well as their individual teaching skills.

        Chocolate Box - Variety Fusion Course - £200      

• The London Academy of Burlesque is thrilled to present this "ONE TIME ONLY" course.
• Starts Tuesday 2nd February.
• You will learn a variety of skills from an ingenious amalgamation of talented teachers over a 3-week educational extravaganza.
• Marawa the Amazing, Josephine Shaker AND Fancy Chance will be teaching hula-hooping, the Charleston and tassel-twirling, respectively, on this course. 
• Traditional burlesque moves, prop work, personas and striptease to underwear will be taught by Jo King.
• Classes will be from 8pm-10pm at Danceworks, London W1 (off Oxford Street).
• There is only availability for a maximum of 14 students per course.

        Cheesecake Charleston - 1920s Themed 3-Hour Workshop - £100

• In the second of our “First Time Ever” workshops we present the combined teaching skills of vaudeville dance sensation Josephine Shaker and gifted burlesque choreographer Jo King.
• In this cheeky class you will learn how to perform an authentic Charleston just like a true flapper, followed by a choreographed “cheesecake-style” burlesque routine.
• This will be an energetic adventure in dance and theatricality.
• This invigorating class will be held on Saturday 30^th January.
• From 1:30pm – 4:30pm.

       Tassel Tease – Twirling and Striptease 3-Hour Workshop - £100

• Our third “First Time Ever” workshop of 2010 sees the perfect marriage of burlesque teaching skills.
• First you will be taught by queen of the ”tease”, Jo King,  how to perform an elegant and glamorous striptease routine.
• Then you will learn an abundance of mesmerising, eye-popping tricks from the fantastic tassel twirling tornado, Fancy Chance.
• For this class you can bring your own tassels or buy them directly from us.
• This fun-packed class will be held on Saturday 13^th February.
• From 1:30pm – 4:30pm.
• 14 places ONLY!

        Burlesque Buzz - Beginners Performance-Art Course - £250      

• Jo King the "Uber-Doyenne of Burlesque" (Time Out) teaches this unique course, as seen on BBC3 in The Real Dirty Dancing and Naked.
• Learn about personas, props, physical theatre, traditional burlesque dance moves, story-telling, costuming, the all important "tease factor" and SO much more - incorporating elements of striptease (no nudity).
• This spectacular 4-week course has been especially created by Jo for any female who wants a fun and fascinating way to; learn a fashionably sexy art-form, unleash your showgirl diva or even become a professional performer.  .
• The next start date is Tuesday 2nd March from 8pm-10pm at Danceworks, London W1 (off Oxford Street).
• There is only availability for a maximum of 14 students per course.

       The Bare Essentials - Beginners Striptease Workshop - £60

• In one fun-packed 2-hour session, you will learn the essential elements of this empowering art-form, concluding in a sultry and stylish choreographed striptease routine.
• This popular workshop has been a runaway success over the last 9 years.
• Whether you want to boost your self-confidence, impress a partner or learn a new life-skill, this workshop can help you towards achieving your goal
• Please be aware that there is an element of nudity in this class, as you will be learning how to remove clothing with oodles of elegance and a ton of tease!
• The next workshop will be from 5pm-7pm on Saturday 13th March.

        Hula Honeys – Hoop and Burlesque Dance 3-Hour Workshop - £100

• Joining our very own burlesque dance guru, Jo King for this incredible “First Time Ever” workshop, is international hula-hoop star, Marawa the Amazing (who received rave reviews for performing in La Clique at the Roundhouse.)
• With their combined teaching skills you will be introduced to both the most popular traditional burlesque moves and the fascinating spinning techniques of hula hooping.
• Be prepared for an exciting full body work-out with sexy shimmies and hoops of fun!
• This energetic and unique class will be held on Saturday 27th March.
• From 1:30pm – 4:30pm.

        Private Dancer - Private tuition with Jo King - £300
          Striptease, Burlesque or Erotic Dance (amateur or professional)

• Private Dancer is perfect for individual tuition however two or three people can be accommodated in these classes.
• Jo structures each private lesson for your personal abilities and requirements.  You meet, get acquainted and have some time to discuss any questions you may have. You will then have 2 hours of practical, expert tuition.
This class is perfect for anyone who: is pushed for time, resides outside London, cannot commit to a course,  prefers personal instruction, or wants to work professionally.
Ladies, if you are planning to spoil your partner, then after just one class you will have the necessary skills to perform a personalised striptease or erotic dance routine.  If you want to improve your self-confidence, have a better body image, learn some sexy moves and liberate your sensuality - this is the class for you.
Burlesque acts can either be created from scratch or your own ideas can be enhanced upon and professionally choreographed by Jo.
Those of you who wish to be professional striptease artists will be given valuable advice about the industry. You will be taught an audition piece, how to perform a stage show and a table dance.
This class can be arranged any time from 11am - 9pm, Mondays to Saturdays (subject to availability).
These classes are held in private studios in London.  Lessons required outside London are subject to extra costs - prices upon request.

• If you want to organise a really special event for a friend or relative who is getting married, this is a fabulous enhancement to any hen party and you might even be able to use some of the moves at the wedding reception!
• Maybe it's your birthday or you are planning a well-deserved girls night out?
• Allow us to provide you with a fun-filled hour (or two) of tuition.
• We offer 3 options:
  1. Teaser - You learn either an exotic dance or a burlesque dance routine (no clothing is removed).
  2. Burlesquing - You are taught a burlesque routine with props (no nudity)
  3. Striplette - You are taught a striptease routine (some nudity involved).
• The price will be subject to option choice, location and the number of people participating. Please call or email us for more information.
• These classes are guaranteed to put a smile on your face, a wiggle in your walk and prepare you for a fantastic night ahead!
