Learn something fabulous in 2008! ***************************** Hello and welcome to my web-site. My name is Jo King and I've been working in the fascinating world of erotic artistry for 30 years! Since my first performances in London's cabaret clubs in the 1970s as a burlesque striptease artiste, I have entertained audiences throughout the U.K., Spain, Germany and the U.S. with my sexy, tongue-in-cheek performances. I've had a varied and exciting career which has taken me from performer to choreographer and teacher.In 2000 I formed the London School of Striptease ( the very first school of its kind in Europe) unaware of the incredible impact it would have. I wanted to create an environment where women are welcome to attend classes in all forms of erotic movement including; striptease, burlesque and pole-dancing. My initiative is that I want women, all women, to rejoice in the fact that they are female and accept and embrace the skin they are in! Every woman deserves to feel fabulous, enticing and seductive, regardless of age, shape or dancing ability. I passionately believe that there are NO barriers or limitations!The true focus of the way I teach is to help women to feel positive about themselves, internally and externally. I teach all aspects of striptease, burlesque and erotic dance because I sincerely love my craft. These are fun and exciting, visual art-forms which enable you to express a variety of fantasies and liberate the essence of your sensuality. From time to time I work in collaboration with many other well-known companies including; the Erotic Awards, Sh! Women's Emporium, the International Workshop Festival, Whoopee!, Amora and Coco de Mer, among others. I also choreograph actresses and dancers for adverts, film, television and stage work, such as Immodesty Blaize's reverse striptease act in her highly acclaimed West End show, Jaime Murray in the BBC's "Hustle" and Poppy Elliot in ITV's "The Vice". Over the years, lots of my friends have said they would love to be able to perform a striptease for their partner but that they don't know how. Well, I've used my talents in my private life too and I promise you, most people find it incredibly arousing to have a striptease performed just for them, especially by someone they care about! I was honoured to be featured in the "Legends" night as a British burlesque legend and was introduced as such by the World Famous *BOB*. I took the stage alongside some of America's greatest burlesque stars including; the charming talents of Miss Nude Universe 1972 - Tiffany Carter, the foxy and formidably flexible Miss Exotic World 1997 &1998 - Stephanie Blake, the sassy and cheeky Candy Baby Caramelo and the awesome, fire tasseling sensation - the Devil's own Mistress - Satan's Angel. Our charming and delightful hostess Miss Dixie Evans was in the audience with a host of other incredible performers and I felt like I'd gone to burlesque heaven!
